Dos Pueblos High School is dedicated to the educational goals and objectives of Santa Barbara High School District. We recognize that every person attending this school is a unique human being entitled to an education geared to that person's needs. In order to accomplish this, we provide an educational environment in which many alternatives exist. All of our students have the opportunity to grow and mature while pursuing goals that are significant and realistic for them. The staff at Dos Pueblos High School is committed to helping each student become someone with a strong positive self-image and give them sufficient skills to compete effectively in the world, and someone who has a desire to continue learning and who will be a responsible effective member of society. |

Seniors must attend the two mandatory graduation practices on Wednesday, June 3 at approximately 10 a.m. in the gym immediately following the Senior Breakfast, and Thursday June 4 at 8:15 a.m. with cap and gown at O'Leary Stadium. On Thursday, June 4, seniors will line up for graduation at 2:45 p.m. SHARP on the lower soccer field - no family/friends may enter the area, only DP seniors. Gates will open to O'Leary Stadium at 3 p.m. SHARP for family and friends! Handicapped parking and handicapped drop-off is down cafeteria road starting at 3 p.m. Disneyland busses load at 8 p.m. It is recommended that seniors get dropped off for grad nite. Seniors should bring a picture I.D. for Disneyland. Congratulations Class of 2009!

Due to the Jesusita Fire, Charger Associates cancelled the annual Hoe Down earlier this month. We are not able to reschedule for this year but look forward to next year's event. As always, the proceeds from the ticket sales will go 100% to Charger Associates. Anyone wishing a refund must contact Joann Graham via email before May 22 at joanninschool@aol.com. Those who do not request a refund will have their names entered into a drawing for the wonderful gift baskets that were to be raffled off at the event; we will contact the winners by phone.
We want thank to the coaches, parents, and community members who make athletics possible for so many Dos Pueblos High School students. Charger Associates and the DPHS Athletic Department appreciate your support.
The Don Julio Blanco Band, who was scheduled to play at the Hoe Down, will be performing Friday, June 19, at the Creekside at 8:00 pm. They have generously offered to donate their cover charge to Charger Associates. In addition, all DPHS coaches (plus one guest) may attend for free. Dos Pueblos High School’s Advanced Theater Class will present MUSICAL WORLDS May 21 & 22 at 7 pm in the DPHS Little Theater. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and can be purchased online at dphs.org or at the door. Seating is limited.
MUSICAL WORLDS is a musical revue featuring songs from Wicked, Avenue Q, Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid and Spring Awakening. The production is choreographed by Junior Keely More, with Sophomore Janina Mason choreographing “Circle of Life” from LION KING. Lighting Design is by Juniors Tim Jenkins and Andrew Sanchez and costumes are designed by Juniors Haley Vigil, Alice Matiosian, and Michelle Finck.
